  1. I would rate it fair in my opinion. Too much rust, scratch/damage stock, etc
  2. I have a barrel w/ suppressor for my American 180.. and the engraving on that is way hard to see.. Had to ask the previous owner/dealer where it was and he pointed it out. I'm not too concerned about it unless the engraving gets damaged.to the point of inability to read it.
  3. Oh your purchase fell through? Bummer. I was going to suggest the post here.. but looks like you saw it already. Good luck.
  4. Sorry but I'm wondering what is southern tactical temple?
  5. Always great to find people like that. Glad it worked out for you. BTW Based on your posts.. it looks like way better than a few months ago with that crap medication!
  6. If one falls through.. let me know. I'd like to get one for my Reising.
  7. Do you have any possession of any pistol AR, or any stripped lower receivers? If so then you can have your 11" upper today. Really it comes to intent and how hard the ATF wants to go after you. Likely they wouldn't unless you have other stuff going against you on some major bust. Don't take this as you can just go buy a spare autosear for your M16.. I'd wait until you have you M16 in hand. There are a lot of gray areas which typically get interpreted different ways by different agents, etc. Your HK examples.. without the sear, they are SBR/AOW so don't leave them in that configuration if you take out the sear.
  8. I remember that when it was reported on years ago. I know they reported it, but don't know if they got a reward or got to keep it..
  9. Interesting since the ATF allowed the firearms to move around without confiscating them.
  10. I thought another family member got the FFL, like his wife or son.. If I remember what I read about it before.
  11. Just a small update: I've made 2 versions now. One which will dent the neck a bit if it is charged with the BCG closed, and another where it does a minor scratch. The dented one will just reshape itself once fired.. but doesn't dent any more after the first round. (it dents because the insert push the round downwards and the bolt edge scrapes across it. I'm thinking the more aggressive one is going to work the best. Both I like the way they are working.. at least manually. I should be receiving a actual Mark G insert to just compare, but I suspect from photos I've seen, it will be quite aggressive like my neck denting one. It's going to be an interesting comparison.
  12. Wow.. that's messed up. I'm surprised they are still even in business after this long.
  13. So I looked at Autoweapons a while back.. Has his website ever changed? Any case common responses about the company was their prices were too high and they were jerks. Some people said they shot with him and he was pretty nice. Back in 2015, wasn't the owner indicted with some type of machinegun and laser fraud dealing with the sheriff's department. I think this was the article about it: https://www.nwitimes.com/news/local/crime-and-courts/federal-judge-sentences-a-former-east-coast-gun-dealer-to/article_f8949955-f941-5a28-9c9c-33bfbf4e2cf3.html Edit: Oh here's the link I read about that company. http://www.machinegunboards.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=18507 Just note I know nothing about this company except what I read on the internet.. Sounds like I would avoid them.

    giving up sot

I always wondered what was the procedure for selling posties when giving up the SOT. I'm assuming you have to notify the ATF so they would approve any postie transfers. Also what if the transfer took a extra long time and it didn't complete until after you license expired (which is OP's case). Personally I'd just pay the $500 to ensure you don't get into some issue. I'm sure your stuff is worth more than $500. I'd too be interested in buying some of your post MGs.
  15. That would suck if they have.
  16. Interesting.. No 3rd hole, but looks like a F/A hammer in IT. Was this stop for a DIAS?
  17. For the price it would be likely a SBR semiauto
  18. Photo would help the people who would possibly be in the know.
  19. I just read on weaponsguild.com that someone had a single cut receiver.. And they were contacted to give up the cut receiver part, of course they did. Originally the AFT person told them to give up the whole parts kit but he challenged it and the supervisor said they only need the cut receiver.
  20. Probably a photo of the marking would be good. Jog some memories of people who may have seen it before.
  21. Wouldn't it depend on when the kit was cut? If it was demilled 2 decades ago then it should be legal. Not sure if it would be illegal to sell a one cut kit that was demilled at a time it was legal to cut that method. Of course hard part is to determine when it was cut unless they can get a paper trail via receipts.
  22. Hmm.. for you guys that MCR's I have a question.. Do you load with the bolt open? I always do. I noticed that with the insert it would dent the casing a small amount due to the bolt riding on the casing due to tight tolerance. I already made a reduced version that reduces the denting to a scratch.. but it gives up a little on the aggressive feeding. I don't think the manual says anything about needing to load with the bolt open.. but photos in the manual shows it. My question is how important is it to you guys to avoid denting the casing near the neck area. I would this it is.. and if it is, what's acceptable level of rubbing. Note this only occurs on the first round. 2nd round would never have a dent due to the way it is springing into the feed tray. I think if I model the front of the insert a bit more aggressively, but keep the back the same way, it could get the similar results.. but testing required. I wonder if Mark G went through this many iterations to get his angles. I'm curious if his dented the neck of the first round if loading on a close bolt.
