  1. It's success lies in electing the right kind of legislators and re-electing the current Governor in 2024, and, in being able to convince all of them that it's a good idea. The Montana Home Guard exists in statute, although I don't think it's been active since the 1940's or 50's.
  2. That's pretty 'effin sweet. If the Montana Legislature gets the Home Guard Revitalization Act pushed through in 2025, I hope we can get some of these vessels for our new naval militia. https://leg.mt.gov/bills/2023/lchtml/LC3919.htm Didn't get it introduced in time this year, so our next opportunity is in 2025.
  3. I really wish I could argue this, but I can't. Our politicians and their enforcers have not done a very good job in upholding our Constitution. A close relative of mine just left LE due to abuse and corruption by higher up stooges.
  4. I'd recommend Sturm for that purpose. GunBroker fees can add up quickly.
  5. Apologies for resurrecting a thread from the great beyond. I purchased a small item from Autoweapons recently. I emailed them, told them what item I wanted, got a price, sent a check, and received my item a short while later. All in all, it was a drama free experience and I would not hesitate to do business with them again. They have some items that are damn near impossible to find elsewhere. The item I purchased was a S&W M76 sear. -KristopherH
  6. Wailing and lamentations over a cut stock? Yeesh, I thought maybe @komodoj took a torch to the receiver. In all seriousness, I think the OP get a pretty cool gun, regardless of the stock. I wouldn't mind having one of these in my safe. -K
  7. He was a Legend. Requiescat in pace, Mr. Goldsmith.
  8. Pike Arms allegedly has some barrels in the white. https://www.pikearms.com/catalog/product/id-6840
  9. If and when you decide to do so, I’ll gladly provide some of the initial funds to get you started. Sears, trigger bars, and bolts are as rare as hen’s teeth. After a long time looking, I grabbed a bolt from Spiwak about a year ago. Couldn’t believe my good fortune and will probably never get that lucky again. -KristopherH
  10. It's rather unusual not to have at least some online presence, but I'm glad to hear he's a good one.
  11. @hushdistribution Will you consider trading (e.g. other transferable machineguns plus cash)?
  12. Judging by the speed of that sale, I think it's safe to say that $15k is the new price point for an M2 Kit and host gun. For a dealer anyway. A private individual may or may not be able to get that much. For insurance purposes, I might have to re-evaluate the value of my collection. -KristopherH
  13. All I know for certain is that I wouldn't part with my Norrell kit for any price at this point in time. Judging by how your original post is worded, I am assuming that this is going to transfer out on a tax paid Form 4? That is where I, a hypothetical purchaser, would try to negotiate a lower price with you. Going from you (non-FFL/SOT?) to the purchaser's dealer is going to add at least four months to the transfer process. A comparable M2 kit gun from a dealer is going to command a premium by virtue of it transferring on a Form 3, shaving time off of the already long process. A dealer like Ruben or Vito may be able to squeeze out a further premium, based on their industry reputation. At the end of the day, it's worth what somebody is willing to pay you AND what you're willing to take. $15k (or more) is not out of the question, but you may have to sweeten the deal a bit to get that. My opinion only (MSRP: $0.02). -KristopherH
  14. I think most people will walk on by at $15k, unless your name is Ruben or Vito. My best guess would be around $12.5k-$14k, depending on condition. NFASales sold a kit (no host) for $10k a short while back, so it's north of that figure for sure. The question is how much further? It's difficult to tell, as there are not many for sale right now. Back when I was in the market for a kit, I wasn't really that keen on it coming with a host gun. I wanted to find a Carbine that fit my needs/wants. Eventually found a very nice 1944 Inland that looked like it just rolled off the assembly line. She still looks pristine six years later. I think it's the last gun I'd part with. -KristopherH
  15. I would think that most of us would have some kind of feedback trail by now - EBay, GunBroker, FALFiles, UziTalk, etc. Buying (and selling) crap online is as American as Apple Pie.
  16. I agree with this statement. List it for what you think it's worth and add "Or Best Reasonable Offer". If someone makes an unreasonable counter-offer, you can reject it.
  17. Not always. My registered Uzi bolt (Wilson Arms Co.) has a barrel length of 10.25" and an overall length of N/A on the associated Form 4. The National Firearms Registration and Transfer Records is so full of errors that it warrants another full Amnesty, in my opinion.
  18. Are you referring to Ruben or Frank or both?
  19. I could kick my own ass everyday for not buying one of these when I was just starting out. I'm afraid I waited too long and they have become prohibitively expensive.
  20. I'm pretty sure it comes in both flavors, but I think most of the 10/22 full autos are closed bolt.
