Done only one dealing with MWT and I am a happy customer. Sorry to hear your having problems.
If there's some clearance issues on the back of the tube, that should be a easy fix. It sounds like it just needs to be reamed out a bit (not aggressively). Welds do warp metal, learned from personal experience from a Suomi build where I had to rereamed it when completed.
For the amount your stating you can probably find a AR15 conversion or a Colt SP1 conversion. This will get you into M16 style MG and belt feds if your willing to spend the money.
eforms colors change.. seen it on mine.
Maybe that atf guy is justifying it it. Not the first time they marked presample as transferrable and got a person screwed.
From what I can tell is yes it fits all of them. I know there is play among different top covers so I added ball detent to deal with some play (and keep the part in the top cover when opening). The side without the detent can be filed down to make a better fit.
However since I don't have every top cover, there could always be some variance. I've sold quite a few of these and no complaints so far about fit. Please PM me your dimensions of your top cover and I can double check.
Here you go. Sorry for late reply.
This is a photo of a clone of the original.. Sorry I don't have images of my new version on my phone, but this will give you an idea of where it goes.
Careful with that switching back and forth since some FFLs have done that on purpose to gain a profit of selling posties.. They get a bit more scrutiny.
I am a S-Corp and added a FFL07 to the license. I found interesting that everything transferred over to my FFL07 since the EIN is what the NFA items were recorded under so no need to do Form 3. I know your doing something different but just thought to mention.
I just noticed it yesterday. My FFL07 has the SOT so everything should be under that. But when I switched to my FFL01 I find all my MG, including the posties under that.
Also their highlighting of red items is messed up. One pre-may is red and others are not..
Are you thinking about Caswell's stainless steel oxide? That stuff sucks big time unless you prepare everything correctly.. even then had issues (or I did a bad job prepping).
LIke Got Uzi mentioned.. some of those things are heavy and a pain to setup. The two you chose I would say are a pain. Fun but nevertheless a pain to move.
I use subguns way more than belt feds but I see you don't want a subgun.
Possibly a 1919? I think that is in that price range but I could be wrong with all these price fluctuations.
Or possibly a F/A AR-15 variant might give you some options.. From shooting different uppers.. which includes things like the Razorback in 22LR and MCR belt fed.. though I prefer to shoot subs.. Cheaper, controllable and fun.
What ever you choose, be sure to study up on them and get spare parts.. and most of all enjoy it.
Waste of money using that for the pistol brace Form.1. I filled out the eForm 1 and sent in all my info. Only thing I did pay was $65 for my fingerprints at UPS so I could submit it with my documents. Got 3 approval back already..
Just go to this site:
https://eforms-form1.atf.gov/
If you have an account, just log in. If not, then go through the registration process. If you have trouble, contact me and I can probably explain a few items.
Holy crap.. Fastest Form 1 I've ever done...
Submitted the eForm 1 5/2/23.. Received approval 5/12/2023. (this is for the brace amnesty, not the $200 stamp)
