  1. PRVI new correct brass is available and .323 projectiles from Grafs. Reloading with new component until PRVI(PPU) ammo reappears. When it shows be quick- the French rifle shooters snap it up by the case like it was fine chocolate. Foolin' with the bolt for a non rimmed cartridge can be done but as we all know more changes cost more money. As long as brass, powder, projectiles and primers are available 8x50R Lebel shooters are happy.
  2. Question is would anyone run a small lot of 500 to 1000 to start? Todays IM products would stand up well even with polymer reinforced lips.
  3. 8x50R French using current 8mm Lebel rifle PRVI brass and .323 projectiles and the barrel will special chambered to take them well. The key is do we adapt another type of magazine for the shooters or just clamshell some stamped mags for just for Lebel purists? probably the later.
  4. Aaron .. I have one if still looking simple tool steel that fits to depth.. a visual that is field accurate.
  5. I am on the hunt for reasonable transferable registered dewats or buggered guns and parts for the Chauchat (Fusil Mitrailleur Modele 1915 CSRG) I have a Mfg. who is making and fitting new barrels and blueprinting them to function as originally designed. Also NEW made mags are on the drawings board. As you may know it is next to impossible to re-barrel one but we now have the machining fixtures that work..and have solved the ammunition problems. I need to gather a few to make a run of barrels at a reasonable cost. MAY be re-barreling your Sho-Sho on request depending on response.
  6. This is probably a scammer. I live in Michigan City and I know that if its "real" he could take it to Copper Custom in Valparaiso (18 miles away) and have them verify item is legally owned. PLUS CC has a Silencerco Kiosk for super fast BATFE form filing. Any interested local could just go roadtrip to Valpo and meet the owner and for a low $65 free do the forms/photos, prints and pay the NFA tax on the spot! Technology has hit the NFA's ( similar note posted on his other "offer") It is obvious that this gun has no makers marks or serial or FULL/SEMI or safe/fire stamping and has been photoshopped. Even the description is wanting and inaccurate. The bolt doesn't even have a extractor. Front grip is not a "hold down". This is not flaming but observations- plus the person does not answer inquiries.

  8. Good for owners- not so for buyers except the dang things are money makers.. That is why they are 35,000 now.. About the price of TWO M-16's Note that there is NO such thing as wholesale NFA's retail to retail..
  9. Do as I did... start calling libraries for this book... you will need this info--- Title The Grand Old Lady of No Man's Land: The Vickers Machinegun Author Dolf L. Goldsmith Editor R. Blake Stevens Publisher Collector Grade Publications, 1994 ISBN 0889351473, 9780889351479 A good loveable reference librarian can locate for you... Offer to buy that copy
  10. DLO Colt MG40 or USGI?(buffalo arms etc.)??????? I have immaculate DLO MG40 bolts avail.. just mag parked fresh.
  11. Just saw this.. The address does not exist as viable delivery so the trick is to have the post office "forward" your mail to your "new" address. This extends the paper trail. Similar I recently had one of my cards ( Bank Of America based) frauded with a Oreck Vac purchased and to be delivered to another address than mine.. Luck was that the Oreck company got suspicious and called me to verify purchase. I immediately called the local's in that town and they jumped on it to find a lady drop and forwarding multitudes of merchandise. She thought she was "working from home" using her own money to purchase UPS labels and expecting a "profit and refund" for her efforts- unfortunate for her she is in the middle of a drop scam and is being arraigned on multitude of charges. p.s. she never got a dime and is out thousands in shipping charges..
  12. @ misterglockSir the M11 9 stock will fit and you can make it fit correctly with a little finesse with a end mill to make new slots for the catch. Also not all m11 A1's are created equal. Some parts like bolts and uppers mixed may cause headspace problems and FTF or dangerous condition. Example- a SWD m11-A1 bolt most likely in a RPB or overstamp upper will smash your shell so hard it may cause pressure problems from not enough headspace. Conversely a RPB bolt in a SWD gun will cause a lot of FTF due to too much headspace. An aftermarket bolt ALWAYS need work.. for safety and reliability. My suggestion is do not mix manufacturers unless a gunsmith headspaces the gun properly.
  13. Sir, I have the one of a kind first model parts set. now on GB http://www.gunbroker.com/item/602665462 It is fresh parked and came from a NOS gun. ALmost every part that is removeable is in the set including a shooter barrel. BARRELS must be headspaces to your gun- they are not interchangeable therefore a couple barrel spacers are included in the kit. Even guns currently out there have never been headspaced by John when sold. This set is NOT one of the unfinished parts sold at auction after Johns passing. They are ready to use. Most shown in photo $750 through Sturm here or higher through GB and I pay shipping.. Boxed and ready to ship. Davis
  14. No joke..A4's, M60's, Jap 96 and 99, Lewis guns, 1917A1. MP40 .even Maxims and Vickers are few. Never mind the trouble finding a documented WAT. The commons are out there if you look but If your a collector/shooter you have a long haul.. Just sayin.
  15. I noticed a severe lack of machineguns for sale. Where are they?
  16. About 5 cents a round at the big box stores for brand name although "specialty" .22 is still higher than 5.56. I reload so my costs are minimal for 5.56 and I have yet to run out of projos I bought by the barrel, 2600 pounds,( 55 gal drums) in 1983 from the DRMO at .08 per pound as scrap but they were unused. The scrappers didn't want mixed metals then and could care less about projectiles so I was in hog heaven. Then the Gov decided to wipe the small businesses out of existence. And so it goes. American greed. I have some .22 guns but except for practice for the American Marksman last Summer that was it..not shooting .22 anymore.
  17. It has been several decades since 1986. I run even my NOS guns to a manufacturer to upgrade finish and function for good safety reasons. I was an active NFA dealer back in the day and we knew to factory purchase every M-60 that the registry would allow and a LOT of Maremont trunnions were registered. Many of those are sold represented as factory guns. I purchased partial guns (trunnion with sheet metal) Maremont factory direct and the papers still say M-60. Factory guns should and do transfer with originating provenance. If no provenance then it is just another m-60. Buying a trunnion registered gun is by far the best IMHO since it is nearly forever repairable. I also believe that any military manufactured Machinegun regardless of name are the same value. Read that as since 1957 a lot of M-60's have been produced prior to Saco-Maremont and almost NONE have original parts. FYI- to get to the front of the line we had to pool resources and purchase a large lot before the cutoff. Do you have photos of the gun? especially the trunnion and left side of trunnion? There are interested parties..
