  1. Pretty sure that making a false statement on a NFA application is a felony. That's one of the charges. I'm no attorney but if you say they are for LE, and you then sell them at your store or rent them out, that a jury would not be very sympathetic.
  2. I didn't realize you had to give up all your FFL's and SOT's to sell no letters - that's good to know.
  3. the manual says: "Assembled in Canada Made in Canada" you would probably have to call the company to see if there are chinese components. 316-866-2525
  4. Personally I value no letter post samples at the value of the underlying semi components/gun plus a premium of 20-50% depending on quality. That said, a Postie 93R is a rare bird and is worth what the market will bear. I think maybe 5k or so but my guess is someone who really wants it will pay more than double that.
  5. my guess is is because of the last word (parts). Scammers are going to try for high $$$ scams (NFA items), using stolen photos. Harder (and not worth their time) to scam you for some obscure part. Consider yourself lucky! I always insist on talking on the phone. Gets rid of 99%. The other 1% it is obvious they are not legit.
  6. the (asking) prices on some of the no letter post samples on GB are crazy high!
  7. Just read on the other thread that UPS and FedEX will no longer ship NFA items. waiting for confirmation....
  8. In fairness, the President and Congress do not set postal rate - that is done by the Postal Regulatory Commission. Currently is is 2 Republicans (appointed by Trump), 2 Democrats (1 Biden and 1 Obama appointee) and the last seat was just filled by a Biden Appointee, awaiting Senate approval - who is a Republican. BTW the Chairman (Democrat) was twice approved by the Senate with a unanimous vote. When this temporary rate increase was approved, the board was also 3R and 2D Also, the Post Office has temporarily raised rates during holiday times in 2019, 2020, 2021. So this is not a new thing - it is to cover increased costs. At least the Post office has not taken anti-gun measures like the recent ones enacted by the 2 big private shippers (brown and purple) Personally, I have had the best service and the fewest problems shipping guns with USPS versus the competition. In any case, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!
  9. you can transfer a MG to a gunsmith legally (out of state.) No paperwork is required (Form 5 NOT required) but I would recommend an invoice detailing the "transfer" and the work to be accomplished. The ATF is in agreement with this assessment. Have the gunsmith invoice the work done when they ship it back to you. They would have to ship it back to you prior to the F4 being approved.
  10. delgadobj011@gmail.com David Delgado - scammer. sent me photos of a pre-may MG-34, must have been responding to an old WTB ad. said he no longer has copy of Form 3. Disappeared when I asked for his phone number

  12. I have firearms insurance with Collectibles Insurance - they offer plans that cover loss during shipping. USPS insurance is fine but can get pricey. If you are only doing a few items it may be worth it to see if a FFL will ship it for you, covered by their insurance - it may be cheaper.
  13. USPS registered is the most secure, but slow. USPS Priority Express (next day) is guaranteed and fast. I generally use one of these 2 options. I have an insurance policy that covers all shipments.
  14. FNS 40 (also with 357 sig) 14rd factory mag and nylon pouch excellent condition $29 shipped - CC/MO/check unitedsurplusarms(at)gmail.com
  15. so many scams these days, can't be too careful. some good advice I heard - if someone calls you and says they are law enforcement/government employee - ask for their name and badge/id number, agency, and phone number. then tell them you need to call them back in a few minutes. Then google their agency and call THAT (local office) number (not the one they gave you), and ask to speak to that person.
  16. he asked about Form 4 (NFA), not FFL. I believe it is the same as regular firearm: (must be 21 also) The Gun Control Act (GCA), codified at 18 U.S.C. § 922(g), makes it unlawful for certain categories of persons to ship, transport, receive, or possess firearms or ammunition, to include any person: convicted in any court of a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding one year; who is a fugitive from justice; who is an unlawful user of or addicted to any controlled substance (as defined in section 102 of the Controlled Substances Act, codified at 21 U.S.C. § 802); who has been adjudicated as a mental defective or has been committed to any mental institution; who is an illegal alien; who has been discharged from the Armed Forces under dishonorable conditions; who has renounced his or her United States citizenship; who is subject to a court order restraining the person from harassing, stalking, or threatening an intimate partner or child of the intimate partner; or who has been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence. The GCA at 18 U.S.C. § 922(n) also makes it unlawful for any person under indictment for a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding one year to ship, transport, or receive firearms or ammunition here is a link to the source: https://www.atf.gov/firearms/identify-prohibited-persons
