  1. In any case this is a fascinating tale. thanks for sharing
  2. Guns (GCA/NFA) can be stored at an off-premises location. (e.g. storage). They can be shipped to/from this location. The actual TRANSFER (to the buyer, if it is an in-person transfer) must occur at the license location, or a gun show located in the same State (which is a permitted exemption) A FFL can display and take orders at an out-of state gun show, but can only do a transfer to another FFL of a C&R firearm at an out-of state gun show. You cannot transfer (a non C&R) to another FFL at an out-of state gun show - you would have to mail it to them. https://www.atf.gov/firearms/qa/what-may-licensee-do-out––state-gun-show
  3. my statement was in regards to "going forward" in regards to no-letter transfers. What happened in the past is the past. Also if the 07/02 owns the range or private security company, then there is no transfer to be approved.
  4. No they would not. The only acceptable reason is for pre-purchase demonstration.
  5. I seem to remember it's about 30 days from the time you apply/pay online until you receive it in the mail.
  6. The Reddit Eform 4 thread is indicating they are currently taking approx 265-270 days. (almost 9 months) My oldest submission is at 6.5 months and waiting....
  7. A FFL/SOT in Washington State has contacted me about purchasing a fully transferrable machine gun. Does any one know if this is possible, due to the recent State law changes. (my concern is that the ATF would not approve the E-Form 3 transfer) thanks in advance !
  8. Is it possibly Special Interest Arms that did the conversion (not specialized weapons)? Also is the scope included, and if so, what are the details. thanks

  10. with the latest virtual currency issues, I would be hesitant to use this. No real advantage (and lots of disadvantages) over defaulting to the dollar, unless you believe the world is ending and the dollar will become useless.

  12. For you or me, that would be a foolish move. For some people, money is not an issue; they want it - they buy it. That said, it would be a VERY expensive mistake if this was a married DIAS.
  13. just as easy to facetime/video chat with the person - have them show you the item for sale, live on video.
  14. I travel to India for work. See if you can find his address LOL

  16. Intent is an element of every crime (except strict liability statutes like a simple traffic violation). Intent must be proven beyond a reasonable doubt, just like all the other elements of a crime in a criminal trial. Intent is not the same as motive, which does not have to be demonstrated in court.
  17. Intent is what is going to get that chief in trouble. His intent was to make money, not demo guns for his department.
  18. Pretty sure that making a false statement on a NFA application is a felony. That's one of the charges. I'm no attorney but if you say they are for LE, and you then sell them at your store or rent them out, that a jury would not be very sympathetic.
