  1. Here's a pro-tip, HKPro has a tapatalk plugin. If you browse the site on with a Ad-free version of Tapatalk (pro subscriber or cracked version) you can view all the posts without any of their marketing BS or ad links. You can also Mark All as Read in tapatalk. This works with most of the VS sites I've run into.
  2. VerticalScope buys outdoors/powersports forums, converts them to their awful Xenforo forum software so they can monetize the content, users complain about the site layout and functionality and mods start banning long time users. It's a predictable cycle, VerticalScope is a cancer and runs forums into the ground like Cerberus Capital/Freedom Group did with firearms manufacturers.
  3. Some have, some haven't. For example pre-may Stens have not moved much, nor have pre-may Reisings but to be fair their respective transferrables are fairly inexpensive as well. I bought a pre-may M37 a couple years back very cheap and sold it for a bit more but people are asking DLO transferrable prices for them now (which I think is silly). The thing I've always wondered is why we aren't awash in pre-may M16s and M14s. I mean I guess they were cheap enough and in current production prior to May '86 that there wasn't much of a market for reimporting them but you'd think there should still be thousands of them even so.
  4. The correct answer is no because a C&R FFL is for collecting purposes only not for sales. A "pre-sample" (NFA imported between 68-86) was not eligible to be registered or transferred except as a sales sample to an FFL/SOT in the business of buying and selling which a C&R by definition isn't.
  5. Time to buy ammo was 6 months ago, anyone needing to buy at today's prices is a procrastinating moron.
  6. Contact GSL Technology, they currently make an integral Sten suppressor that they will custom build for the 76 as well.
  7. Think there's only 11 states left that charge inventory tax.
  8. What's funny is the paperwork on my Lanchester lists the model as Lancaster Mk1... apparently a common mistake
  9. What brand kit? Some of the kits are garbage and some of the kits run well in one gun but not another due to differences in RR conversions. As a whole, 22 kits are the finickiest things to get running well, good luck to you.
  10. Man I love my 33 and 53, I've considered adding a 33k as well. You're right about 308 though, it isn't much fun. I've owned a G3 and a FAL and both were sold fairly quickly.
  11. This may or may not be required. I had an MG in my name that I had owned awhile before adding my SOT and was able to get it added to my online inventory by going through the Ask the Experts link on eForms. I had to email a copy of my F4, FFL/SOT and a written request to add the item to my inventory and it showed up online in around 3 weeks. I then transferred it out to the buyers dealer without any issues. Use the Ask the Experts link in the eForms portal.
  12. I much prefer the HK *3 series to an M16, and for that matter my SAR80 as well. As the OP already owns an HK sear, I'd make sure that a 33/33k/53 and perhaps an MM 23 were part of my host stable before moving on to other MGs. OP - what hosts do you already have for your HK sear?
  13. Depends on if he's a sole proprietor or not and if the DIAS is owned in his own name or not, ie. in a trust. IF it's in his own name and he has a sole proprietor FFL/SOT then he can get the DIAS added to his online inventory to do an eForm3 or just file a paper Form 3 and it will transfer without a tax. People sometimes get confused on this based on what form the item transferred in on, but it's irrelevant, it only matters that the same entity is both the registered owner of the FA item and the licensed entity on the FFL/SOT.
  14. Suppressors don't require a 5320.20 but feel free to send one in if you want to update the ATF NFA division with your new permanent address.
  15. And even more fun with an integral suppressor.
  16. That's noble and all but what I'm saying is 15% is a fairly standard commission fee for consignment sales not for buying outright. When you're putting out the cash up front, especially to buy the whole lot of guns, you need to factor in a lot more uncertainty of value along with the return on your time and money invested. Feel free to ask Frank, Ruben or Jonathan what percentage of market value they pay to buy out estates or even individual guns for that matter.
  17. If I'm buying the lot from the estate I'd expect to pay a lot less than 85% of retail.
  18. Part of the family is from Abergele, Denbighshire.
  19. The phrase originated as a disparagement on dishonest Welshmen (of which I'm also descended, though hopefully not the dishonest kind...) so I use the original spelling instead of the modern bastardized spelling. Much like the phrase being "gypped" derives from transactions with dishonest Gypsyies/Romani, which many people misspell jipped.
  20. Forgive me if I misunderstood the OP but tire kicking and welshing are two distinctly separate things. Tire kicking (asking for pics, negotiating, etc) and not coming to an agreement for various reasons is an expected part of doing business though communicating the end of negotiations is the polite thing to do. While not necessarily enjoyable for the seller, it doesn't tie up the item in question for any other interested buyers. Welshing on a deal wastes both the seller's time and potentially spikes any other buyers who may have been interested but moved on when a deal was "pending".
  21. I wouldn't say you "missed out" on a Voere, especially at their prices. There've been a few sold pretty cheap at auctions over the past year, if you're patient and really want one for some reason you should be able to find one.
  22. The 1919A4 is great advice from Mike. I had a M37 for awhile and it was great fun before I eventually traded it to a buddy.
