3rdmardiv
I have a very basic question. If I am taken out by the legendary beer truck, how does my wife or daughter legally dispose of my NFA? Thanks. Dean
If you dont already have one get a will. They transfer form 5 tax free to heirs. Or form a trust and transfer your items to it.
taylorwso
The executor will get control of your nfa items when you pass unless they are in a trust. Then they can do a simple form 5 tax free. If they are in a trust, the trustees can get them. If you form a trust and try to transfer them now, they each will take a 200 stamp and you have to do RPQ/ FPs for all trustees
riflejunky
Transfers to heirs are tax free. If they are not already registered to a trust you are going to pay an unnecessary tax to go this route. 2cents
