    Yeah I thought about parkerizing first but my shop doesnt do it. Didnt want to ship it off and pay freight/insurance plus the wait.

    My ac556k would always get a rust spot over the blue original finish if I didnt coat with oil before I put in the safe. I had a local refinishing shop cerakote it and a few mags for $300 and it looks better than the original finish.

    150 days and counting. It will literally be close to 2yrs from start to finish. I remember 30 days doing a corporate. It's to the point I'd pay extra to be on a form 3 if its an out of state purchase.

    So the gun came in pre 68 if IMI is manufacturer? It looks like is wasnt produced until 1972.

    At 117 days for mine but who's counting. My dealer said since he started doing them in March not one has come back yet.

    Looking if its feasible to modify a BM59 into a M14k with the m60 gas system, comp, etc. I think it would be far cheaper than $30k plus for a LaFrance. Thanks
