Bwanalewis
I am considering acquiring a BAR. Looking for guidance on a good book or books that would be good reference material. I hear “Rock in a Hard Place - The Browning Automatic Rifle” might be a good book. Let me know, also if anyone is open to sharing knowledge please send me a pm. Thanks in advance. johnsonlmg41
That's the book I'd start with and maybe end with? Lots of great info there, especially on original 1918's. As you get later toward a2's there can be a lot of variables that may or may not be original to the gun? There is an original 1918 for sale on the NFA board. Nice matching originals are not all that common if you are collecting. If you're a shooter, there's a lot more options at much lower prices.
