har1690
Looking for upgrades you've done for your Belt guns on tripods. Finally got my M60 and it's on a tripod built by Carl Silver years ago and I now have a M142 craddle to go with but there's something about getting/making a shield aka a chicken plate. Again, just for kicks. Got a guy who welds and has some 3/8" plate. Has anyone made their own shield (just for kicks) and or any accessories to go with? MGTedFL
I have an older Guiette AA tripod that I had cut an sleeved, so that I could adjust the firing height using large detent pins. For the M1919A4 I use a M1917 pintle, which has the T&E integral, and a ammo-can holder. For the Pig, I use a modified Navy mount, or just "freehand" it with the single mount. But, you have to raise the tripod height and someone needs to hold/ feed in your belt. On the tripod, I use spades on the 1919A4, so you need both hands.... A Pig configured as a D model on the AA tripod would also be a hoot......
