Uzi_does_it
I’m trying to decide on an optic for my Mac-11 that I run at anywhere from 700-1,200 RPM. I’m thinking a large MOA or bullseye reticle and a large viewing window is probably best since accuracy is based more on hitting the target rather than hitting center. Hoping to spend less than $300 new or used. Does anyone have any recommendations?
Thumpy
Are you sure you need a powered optics on a m11? I kinda feel like with the rate of fire it doesn’t matter much. I use an aimpoint t2 an it seems to serve me well. It’s not powered but get the dot on target let a burst out your pretty much sure to hit what ever you where aiming at. Uzi_does_it
You may be right. The optic would primarily be used on my Max-31 upper which doesn’t have any sights on it. Would you run irons?
Thumpy
I have back up irons on mine and a aimpoint red dot I enjoy it a lot.

guntrustlawyer
US optics for those of us who are visually impaired! Or any 3x9 cheapo with good rings.
Texascbr
I run a Sig Romeo 5 on several toy guns to include an M11. They work great, fit an Aimpoint mount and can be had for around ~110 bucks.

Gaffshot
I use a Holosun 503 on Max 11 sk. Works fine. For your budget you should really stick to a red dot. You are scrapping the bottom of the barrel of LPVO for $300. However, if you insist, then do the new Primary Arms 1-6 SFP with Nova Fiber Wire. https://www.primaryarms.com/primary-arms-slx-1-6x24mm-sfp-rifle-scope-gen-4-illuminated-acss-nova-fiber-wire-reticle
Uzi_does_it
I’m surprised about the LPVO recommendation. It seems like that would be difficult given the high rate of fire and time to reaquire a sight picture. l I guess it depends on the application. Is the viewing window a valid concern? I’m debating going with a Holosun 510c (similar to an EOTech) of a cheap Sig Romeo 5. Wondering how feasible it is to have a QD and swap the optic between the Mac and an AR. Gaffshot
First, you said "powered" optic so I thought you mean magnification. Now I'm not sure what you meant by powered. Second, an LPVO is essentially the same as a red dot if you are on 1 POWER. Window is not a problem for recoil unless you are in the upper magnification range. Lastly, for 300, just get a holosun 503. The large window is not needed like you are thinking and the 503 is probably alot better than the 510 based on reviews that I have seen. The 503 is good to go for your mac 11.
Bigmike
Holosun 507 with the circle dot. Have one on my M16 as well. Think of it as a mini Eotech, just much smaller and lighter.
