  1. My Form 4, done electronically via Silencerco, was approved in 2 days! Glad I was sitting down when I opened up the ATF’s email. Lance
  2. Check the status of your form! I efiled a Form 4 on 20 Sept 23. Yesterday, I logged onto the ATF efile website, couldn’t find status anywhere by using my control number, to include reject tab. So, I called 304-616-4500 and waited over an hour to speak to someone. My form had been approved on 8 Feb! Called my dealer, was told that ATF was in the shop just the day before, and they hadn’t received email. When they checked their dealer folder, my approval was there! The ATF examiner mentioned there had been a recent glitch in the system, but I think it was my phone call that pushed the form through.
  3. No damage that I could see, baffles actually clicked together easily for the first time in a long time.
  4. At the GOA show in PA a couple of weeks ago, I bought some new Ballistol suppressor cleaner. The bottle states for cans that can’t be disassembled, simply plug the bottom, fill it with the solution, then let it sit for a couple of hours. I used it on an old Gemtech baffled .22 suppressor (took it apart). I let it sit for 9 hours, and was very impressed with the results. It cost me $15.
  5. UPDATE: Received standard Sterling part today, the collar on it (mine had broke off approximately 1/4 of the way around) was thicker and total weight was a little over 5 grams heavier. Ran a magazine through weapon, no issues. So, I think that they are the same.
  6. Took my PAWS ZX-5 (copy of L34A1 Sterling) out today. When I was cleaning it up, I noticed that approximately have the ridge going around the collar (holds cocking handle in place in bolt) was broken off. Did a quick search for parts on the web, couldn't find any for the L34. However, I found a complete return spring assembly for the Sterling for $25, was wondering if it would work. If not, was hoping someone would recommend a source for one. Thanks, Lance
  7. I have a first edition, will let you have it for $250 shipped to US. Lance
  8. I am very interested in your Colt M16A1. What would be a good phone number for me to call you on Tuesday? Lance
  9. Come to find out, it is a tapered roll pin that must be driven out from the bottom. FYI, Springfield Armory never returned email or responded to web request- friend at work reached to someone that specializes in M1As. Lance
  10. After reading a recent Firearms News article by James Tarr, thought I would convert my conventional stock to the Archangel one and use the Vortex Venom red dot that mounts to the stripper clip guide via a Midwest Industries mount. This mount requires removal of the stock stripper clip insert, which has a small Allen wrench set screw holding it in place. Of course the allen wrench supplied with the MI mount doesn't work, and none of the 46 wrenches in my Wheeler Engineering kit fits. Does anyone know what size this set screw is so that I can find the proper tool to remove it? Times like this make me miss Mike Todd, may he rest in peace. Semper Fi Lance
  11. UPS won't ship full auto weapons, FedEx will cost you four times as much as USPS if you insure the weapon. I am also not a fan of USPS, but not much of a choice. Lance
  12. Are you still looking for a slim handguard and straight magazine? Lance
  13. I have one, not HK, only markings are 31C on shoulder of butt pad. Are you interested? I switched to a B&T years ago, nothing wrong with this stock. Lance
  14. All, I submitted my first efile 5320 for a trip this March. Got a couple of questions: 1) Should I receive anything from ATF (email) stating that they received my request? 2) How long does it take to get it signed and returned (via email) to me? Thanks, Lance
  15. Frank, I will take it. Please send me an email so we can get this train moving, Lance
