I just upgraded my Luger and was thinking of selling or maybe trading off my other one. It is a Mauser marked military Luger chromed by the GI as a Vet Bringback. Original fxo mag postwar grips fires great. Any thoughts what I should advertise on here for???

Don't forget when you sell to a big dealer you might get 50% of retail. I think he wants to squeeze every last penny so will sell on here or maybe gunbroker.

I would also say don't buy a MG as an "investment". These are just expensive toys. MGs can be outlawed, the registry frozen, transfers could begin to take years to transfer, etc. Remember, no one "needs" a MG. We just "want" them. Buy because you like it. And ask yourself this would you feel the same way about it if it were worthless tomorrow??? Don't spend money on MGs you can't afford to lose.

Thumpy is giving you the best advice. Spend a few hundred bucks on Thompson reference books. There are many Thompsons out there that are cobbled together. What you spend on reference books can save you thousands and thousands of dollars.

I have filled out FOIA requests YEARS ago. No answer. It was for a pair of fully transferable Form 4s though.

No doubt a Mac 10. They are built like tanks and work with all types of mags. I've never had a problem with mags and I've owned two Macs. The Uzi is just meh. Nothing special about it and for sure not worth the extra money. You will be much happier with a Mac over an Uzi.

I'm a transferable collector like you too but I think it won't make much difference if SOTs have to buy transferables because "investors" have already entered the market years ago and have already pushed prices past stone cold retarded. A few more SOTs won't make one bit of difference. That ship sailed years ago.

Because I think many SOTs use post samples to enhance their collections and not for the intended purpose. I say let them buy transferables like everyone else. ATF might start going after some SOTs for enhancing their collections. It would not surprise me at all.

I know of one dealer in my area that has many post samples and always wondered how he could have Stens, Berettas, etc. As post samples when LE doesn't even use these guns. I'm sure he has a "good buddy" in LE. Glad it is coming to an end.

I meant dealers should buy transferables not PDs. Most dealers buy them to have cheap MGs to shoot. I know you know that. Quit acting retarded. Sheesh

Well, to be honest almost ALL 02/07 use their license to buy cheap MGs for themselves. I think ATF is right to stop that nonsense. NO PD needs MGs anyway. The cheap goat dealers can buy transferables like everyone else. I really do hope ATF cracks down on dealers doing this.
