Extraparts7
Jonathan A. Ciener shows some available on his website starting around $245. I have an older "Hohrein" that I bought used for about $200 off of Gunbroker. Here's the webpage for Ciener; http://www.22lrconversions.com/mini-pg.htm He doesn't seem to have 30 round mags available all the time. I have read that the Black Dog mags work pretty well but they show out of stock right now too. http://blackdogmachinellc.net/mini14-ac556-mag.aspx HTH, Kent
Offmarksman
Yeah, not really wanting to deal directly with Cierner. Ordered an AK kit a few years ago, and a few month later I receivedy check back in the mail. I have also heard of many similar A-hole type moves on his part. Looking to buy one from someone who had on hand (like yourself).
maschinenpistole
I have a Hohrein kit like Extraparts7. It is new and comes with two 10 round mags - plus the factory black plastic case. $200 shipped. PM if interested. Thanks.
pstidan
Be careful with these kits. At times the chamber insert will fit and at other times it will not. I haven't figured out why this is. Maybe manufacturing tolerances at Ciener and/or Ruger. I had a kit that fit, and worked, perfectly in a Mini-14 but would not fit in an AC556. I did some swapping around with a couple kits belonging to my buddy. After we were done my kit fit an AC and a Mini while the other two also kits fit his Minis and ACs. I can't explain why it was so, but it was.
