I vote UZI. I own a Group/Vector full-size, have had it for over 20 years. I had a m11/9 and sold it. Shot plenty of Laged out MACs and while nice, they don’t do it for me as a collector. The Uzi does it for me as a collector and a shooter. It’s not flexible like a MAC, but I don’t care. I have an M16 and HK sears for flexibility. I appreciate the Uzi for what it is, an iconic SMG that’s a great shooter in its own right with inexpensive widely available mags and (at least for now) good availability of spare parts. It really comes down to what YOU want. Do you have the ability to buy more MGs in the future? Are you a collector, a shooter, or both? If you will only own one and want maximum flexibility, the MAC is it.

Personally, I’d keep it if it matches your A2 lower. I assume you mean it’s a 723 upper, not a 703? Is the upper receiver a C7 with brass deflector or an A1? Pencil contour 1:7? It’s a rare upper, regardless of whether it was correctly represented/described. Unless you grossly overpaid for “new”, I say keep it.

Are people suggesting that a post-68, pre-86 import MG can be transferable if it was imported for a government agency? This is not something I’m familiar with and I’ve been into MGs for over 20 years.

I agree with others. Seems like a scam. I’d want to speak by FaceTime. Be sure ti hide your face so your likeness can’t be used later for nefarious purposes. And I’d speak with the alleged SOT. Then offer to fly out with funds to inspect and deliver funds in person.

Can you please share a link to the completed auction? How is she asking to be paid? In addition to clear photos, ask for her name and the current date on a piece of paper in the photos. I agree with other posters, this sounds scammy. Proceed with caution.

Very interesting. Thank you for posting that, Navgunner. From what I recall, Fleming’s sear in his RR FNCs looks similar to the registered S&H sear.

I knew Fleming made some RR FNCs, but didn’t know about HTA and PHX Arms.

It’s odd that the form5 has a photo box.

I have not. A friend has and I reached out to him. He’s going to send some pics. He said he used automotive trim removing tools and they worked well and did not damage the plastic, that if you are lucky the old rubber just falls apart and is not difficult .

I’ve not had to remove any. But replacement Swiss buttpads are available on Gunbroker. It’s wise to stock up (pun intended) on a few.
