RWells
I have a sendra conversation lower that I would like to get anodized with type 3 hardcoat. The anodizer won’t do it without knowing the material grade because they are afraid they will burn it. Does anyone know by chance what material grade sendra was using? jrh
You may try and contact US Anodizing and ask them. They are not taking work but have done M16's in the past. He may have you answer.
Dean
Some are cast and some forged. Forged either 6061 or 1075.

I was under the impression that all sendra lowers were forged. Did they make cast lowers too?

They made billet and forged. I had a Wilson E.A. cast reciever that I wanted anodized 20 yrs ago and no one would touch it. Had to have it moly coated. JM in La.
I recently had a transferable Sendra lower Cerekoted and it turned out like new.. It went from that Sendra preban purple color to a black.. Every anodizing company I spoke with said redoing it could change the size of the holes so I backed off quickly..
