United Surplus Arms
my understanding is that you can E-file the Form 4 just like any other recipient. You do need to submit photos and fingerprints. Once the Form 4 is approved, you can ship directly to the C&R. Someone please correct me if this is wrong.
Grasshopper
Hi Greasegunner, I concur. 1.) Yes. 2.) I have the customer give me the appropriate sized photo (.jpg) and his .eft file. I've had the customer in the shop doing the electronic transfer as some of the inputs have to be attested by the transferee IIRC. I've not performed an E-file form 4 w/o the transferee in the shop so I've no knowledge of how that works. If you don't use an .eft file for the prints, make sure the transferee has the cards done and ready to mail and they have the correct ORI. BATF will email you a cover sheet to be included with the paper prints. I've submitted w/o the .eft file using paper prints w/o any issues. The transferee has something like 10 days to have them in BATFE's hands (hence the make sure the transferee has the cards completed and ready when you submit the form 4. Hope this is more helpful than confusing, Enjoy, Grasshopper
Maddog7580
Question: So, it's not permissible/possible to do a E-Form 4 transfer to an "out of my state" C&R03 licensee unless they come to my location so they can type in their pin and with the EFT files?
