Cross Posted This is a very scarce example of a Mauser HSC police model. The pistol is an early variation lacking the 3 horizontal lines in the slide legend. This example is lacking the lanyard loop making it a scarce transitional variation between the recognized Variation 1 and Variation 2 E/L pistols. The left side of the trigger guard bears the E/L police acceptance stamp with the reverse side bearing the E/N proof. The right forward end of the slide likewise bears an E/N stamp. The pistol is all numbers matching including the two magazines. The mags themselves are numbered in the police style along the spine each bearing the appropriate “1” and “2” respectively. The finish and bore are like new, this was likely never issued. 49 photos are included at the link below for reference.
