R.L.
All contact info other than email has been removed from their webpage. They claim on their home web-page they are moving to a larger facility and are closed for the holidays starting in late November 2022, but no further information about when they will reopen. Maybe I missed something but this abrupt explanation sounds a bit odd. Last month there was some scuttlebutt about them going out of business, or maybe selling out to another company. I hope this isn't another corporate buyout by a capital venture company. We all know what happens to a previously good product produced by gun companies when they sellout to market investors. Quality ALWAYS suffers for the benefit of shareholders profit. Anyone know anything about this? R.L.
BrettBaker
R.L. I saw the thread on RFC. It ended with them still in business, but I hadn't read about a new facility yet. Makes sense, since they're always on backorder. Or maybe a nice $1,000 .22 is in the works?
R.L.
I have 2 Coopers. One in 6mmBR and .204 Ruger. both in Super Varmint models. Both have very nice wood and are tack drivers. It's not like I'd sell them if the company sold out. I'd just like to know if Cooper is still under the same management or if there's a new owner. Like I said previously, when the bean counters get involved in a buyout of ANY manufacturing business, future quality always suffers in the search for a cheaper product with higher profits for shareholders. Remington and Marlin are perfect examples of what happens after a buyout by corporate investors. Personally I hated to see both companies close down. They were both a big part of my youth, not to mention the importance they played in our National firearms heritage. R.L.
