TDv 1005/005-12: German Army Manual - Das Gewehr G3 - The Rifle G3. This operator manual, first published in 1971, contains updates to May 6, 1994, and is Parts 1 and 2 of the German army manual for the G3 select fire rifle, which is the semi/full auto version of the HK91. The manual with Parts 3 and 4, for troop and field repair, is sold below. Part 5 (not available) is simply a listing of the part with military stock part numbers, and isn't very useful so it will not be translated. This is a very thorough and well illustrated operator manual, showing the variations and differences between the different models (wood / plastic / collapsible stock). All the basics for the shooter are well described and illustrated, as well as the use of the accessories and cleaning kit, including complete assembly / disassembly with exploded views showing the individual parts. This manual also includes the basics of mounting the telescopic sight, night vision device, IR telescope and illuminator, and the installation and use of the practice bolt, blank firing adapter, and .22 long rifle sub-caliber kit. This 1972 manual contains Parts 3 and 4 of the G3 rifle manual for the G3, which is the full auto version of the HK91. Part 3 is for troop repair, part 4 contains field repairs. This is NOT a heavy duty armorer's manual for the G3, but rather a more in depth operator's manual for inspecting, servicing, and repairing the G3 at the troop and weapon technical personnel level. Shows how to adjust sights, check headspace, change the extractor, bolt rollers, check firing pin protrusion, and the more mundane maintenance of disassembly, assembly (including the trigger group), and in depth inspections, with several pages of tables for troubleshooting. This manual also includes sighting in the telescopic sight, night vision device, IR telescope and illuminator.
