FAC Posted March 14, 2022 Report Share Posted March 14, 2022 1928 Colt commercial water-cooled Browning machine gun, made for Argentina, with a meticulously installed RAMO 1919A4 side plate (the RAMO sideplate is the only Browning sideplate made by an actual US Government weapons contractor). This gun came from Colt in 1928 with the old world, deep, rich, gloss bluing that Colt applied to their 1911 automatic pistols in the 1920’s. Numerous surface scratches on the bluing on the water jacket, but a beautiful gun. Comes with original Colt Automatic Machine Gun Tripod with its original Colt brass ID plate and leather strap. This is an outstanding example of the early Colt Commercial machine gun, that , well cared for, will last for several generations in your family. Comes with three wooden ammo chests that attach to the tripod, steam hose, steam hose water chest (reproduction), and an original 1918 Browning belt-filling machine in its correct wooden chest, with four unused cloth belts. This machinegun will also function with 1917/1919 metal ammunition links. Caliber is 30-06. With the appropriate barrel and a couple small parts for each caliber change, this gun can be converted to fire 8mm Mauser and 7.62x51 (308 Winchester) ammunition, making it an extremely versatile machine gun.
