I have for sale a 25 rd. box of WW2 WINCHESTER div OLIN INDUSTRIES BRASS OOB AMMO. The OLIN INDUSTRIES took over the ammo mfg from WESTERN CARTRIDGE at the end of 1944 thru to the end of WW2 1945 and beyond. The ammo is in very good condition. The box is soft and I needed to apply some clear plastic tape to keep them firm. I have wrapped the box in clear acid free plastic. If sold, I will beef the box up with cardboard and then heavy duty shipping plastic. Ps...I did forget to mention, that I have """ not """ placed any tape onto the box markings. I have a ultra rare box of U.S.ISSUE BRASS OOB manufactured by REMUMC marked ( U.S.PROPERTY ). I believe this box is rarer than the WINCHESTER brass OOB saw tooth ammo. PHYSICAL CONDITION.....unfortunately the box is very soft. I had to use "clear plastic to re-enforce box integrity, I did however did not apply any tape to the box markings. I did wrap the entire box with " acid free clear plastic ". These UMC boxes are almost never seen. Not sure how many were issued. I've been told these are related to WW1 when issued? Not sure if my photos will come thru, but if you email me ( GERONIM873@COX.NET ) I can send you the photos. If sold, I will re-enforce the box with cardboard and plenty of bubble wrap.. I must say, that if the box were in better condition, it would be worth, I believe double what I am asking. I have for sale a M1918 Shotgun Shoulder bag including Shoulder Strap. The bag has 32 internal ammo loops, The bag is in very nice physical condition with the exception of some usage and storage markings to the canvas. The front flap works perfectly. The bag shows the manufacturer and date of service. The manufacturer is PROGRESSIVE and is dated FEB 1918 and includes the inspectors initials ( SC ). The only physical drawback to this 98 year old piece of U.S. MILITARY HISTORY is as follows.....there are two threadbare worn spots near each of the two grommet drain holes on the bottom of the bag. They are not holes but worn spots where the thread has been worn from usage or rough storage?? Overall the bag has retained much of its khaki two tone canvas color. I am in the market for any boxes of Brass OOB mfg for use in both wars. The 25 rd. boxes of Remington and Winchester have to still be wrapped in the original kraft shipping outer foil. Also interested in the 10rd box of Remington Arms 12ga Tracer and the same tracer in a 25 rd box. Not the beige and red box of tracer marked for Government Use.
