As mentioned already, it would probably be fine but in all honesty, why bother? On a gun that’s designed to handle +P ammo like the Uzi, Sten or Sterling, fine. But on S&W 76, which runs good on any decent commercial load, why subject the gun to the extra abuse? Especially when the S&W 76 lacks a buffer and the extra recoil force will likely run the bolt against the end cap.

Mine was approved in 47 hours in early March of this year. That is the fastest I have ever had a Form 4 come back. From Credit card payment to MG in my hands it was only 17 days. Unreal.
That’s not necessarily true. If a MG hasn’t transferred in many years, ATF typically reviews the gun’s original registration to ensure everything is still correct and nothing’s missing. Many times, they’ll also request pictures of the gun showing barrel length, overall length and serial number. This can add a substantial amount of time to the transfer whereas with a new suppressor or sbr, there is nothing to review except the original form 2 registration.
Sounds to me like they made just made a mistake and taxed the entire transaction. I doubt it’s their business plan to screw people out of $14 in sales tax on every form 4 transfer. Just have him point it out to them and I’m sure they’ll refund him.
There shouldn’t be tax on the the tax stamp but if it was a Silencer Shop Kiosk, they do charge a fee to use the Kiosk.
About $125 for one that’s in rough but useable condition and up to $200 or more for one with a nice finish and no dents.
There’s one on Gunbroker.
Anyone have any paper form 4’s clearing at these speeds?
E-Form 4 filed 10/13/23, received 2/15. Pretty much 4 months on the dot.
David Spiwak has one listed for sale on his website.

Can you attach a picture of the magazine and measure the width? It’s possible it could be a magazine for the Brazilian INA 953 which was a .45 version of the Madsen M50.

I’ve noticed the slowness as well every night from the 9:45-10:15 time period. Assumed they were running backups or some other kind of site maintenance during those times.

Same experience here. Efiled an individual form 4 through Silencer Shop- digitally signed on 4/10, approved on 4/12. Crazy…
