3rdmardiv
There is an MP40 magazine on gunbroker with a code of GPM made in 42 with waffenamt. It appears structurally correct but I have never heard of a GPM mag. Any thoughts? Thanks.
AirCav73
The only 3 letter code beginning with a "g" and ending in a "m" I could find was "gum". A German ordinance code assigned to Bergisch-Markische Eisenwerke , Velbert, Rheinland, Germany. The waffenamt inspector's mark looks like "WaA 140" is from the Fabrique Nationale d'Armes de Guerre, Herstal, Belgium
johnd.bush
The code gpm is for Holzwarenfabrik henrich engelhaupt, Schnellbach Kr. Schmalkalden. Not really uncommon mag mfg. Some of the fake French loaders use this code.
