  1. This is the A2 with finger bump and original trap door storage compartment. Lone Star Ordnance Stow Away 2 Pistol Grip is commonly found on the special operations M16 rifles of the US Army Special Forces and other SOF units in the late 1990s to 2000s. The grip was a part of the SOPMOD kit. The Lone Star Grip features a bigger and rounder grip than the original G.I Grip. It also has a bottom trap door for easy storage of small, critical extra parts, pins, springs, batteries, etc…. The grip can be easily installed by using the original grip mounting bolt/ screw and lock washer, no extra modification is needed. History Lone Star Ordnance, Texas manufactured plastic parts for 1911 pistols, and AR rifles during the mid-1980s.
