The Extremely Rare and Highly Desired Stoner 63 is a Unicorn in the transferable machine gun market! The Stoner 63 was the invention of Famed small arms designer Eugene Stoner and was manufactured by the Cadillac Gage Co. in Warren Michigan. The Stoner 63 is a unique rifle as it was designed to be a complete system for soldiers as they could configure the rifle depending mission needs. It could be configured from a 20" rifle to a 16" carbine by swapping the barrels or a Bren style light machine gun with top feed magazine or a belt fed LMG. The belt fed LMG had several different styles of barrels from 20" heavy barrel to shorter lighter weight versions again depending on how the weapon system was going to be implemented. This is one of six 63's that are known to be on the registry. This HK53A3 started life as a Fleming Registered receiver HK93 that was converted to a HK53 with a factory HK53 barrel assembly as you can see from the photo of the barrel markings. The HK53A3 is a more compact version of the HK33 with a 8" barrel and has the correct longer 4 prong flash hider to tame the muzzle flash from such a short barrel. This HK G3K is a Fleming Registered receiver push pin lower that was upgraded by TSC LLC. as you can see the TSC logo stamped on the rear tang opposite the Fleming markings on the right side, the build sheet from TSC LLC. is included in the photo's as well. It was upgraded with a 12.4" HK Factory G3K barrel assembly that is factory marked. The G3K barrels differ from the standard civilian barrels as it has the proper grenade gas ring on the barrel just in front of the front sight post and the flash hider snugged up to the gas ring. With the barrel being this short the G3K could not fire the rifle grenades or mount a bayonet. The G3K uses a HK33 forearm due to the shorter barrel length between the trunion and the front sight post ( this one is vented ). The retractable stock on this one makes it the G3KA4 version. This G3K is like new and has only been test fired after the barrel swap was done to test functioning of the weapon.
