[Recommendations on a Thompson mechanic]

+1 for Dan block. Like any good smith, I am sure he is pretty busy, but he's a great guy.

That's actually a savage made model. The character on the front of the serial number is a S- instead of a 5.

This is really just personal opinion. Although it seems Savage tips the scales most of the time. Including with me.

I am looking for a nice original-ish C&R Transferable early 1928 or 1928A1 Savage or AOC Thompson..... Not looking for a WH at this time. 

Preferring one with matching serials, ribbed barrel and lyman sight.
