This is my first post on Sturmgewehr. I registered just to post a positive review of John’s work.
After contacting another gunsmith known for his work on Lightning Links and being told to pound sand, I hit the Internet in search of somebody to machine some left hand bolt carriers to work with my RLL.
I found this thread and e-mailed John about doing the work. He responded that same evening and after answering all my questions I boxed up 6 left hand BCG’s and sent them off to him. The work was completed in just a couple days and my BCG’s we’re back in my hands plus a couple of select fire kits I talked him out of.
Not only did he take the time to answer my questions but he e-mailed me the day I was to receive my BCG’s to ask if they had arrived yet and even called me later that evening to make sure everything was good and to answer any questions I might have!
So far I’ve only tested 2 of the 6 BCG’s (300BLK and AR45) as that’s all I have fire control groups for at the moment but they run like champs!
Here’s a short video of my AR45 (I hope)....

Good to know. I was actually going to contact you about modifying one for use with my RLL. Which one would I need to order to have machined, the semi auto or full auto bolt...or does it even matter?
