Gorgon
Anyone know what material was used to make the red ball on this type of vane sight? I'm stunned at the condition as there are no splits, cracks, fractures, etc. Early synthetics often show loss of plasticizers and/or "shrinkage" but no evidence here. Any thoughts? johnsonlmg41
bakelite. It generally has no plasticizers as those formulating techniques didn't come til much later.
