Uncle Zeek
https://max-11.com/product/max-11-m27-belt-fed-upper-receiver/ Have seen a fair amount of internet chatter about this product. Was browsing the Lage site this morning and saw that the belt-fed upper is finally on a waitlist.

Bill in VA
Curious… How is this different from the BRP (?) MG34 upper on an M16 receiver? IIRC, ATF declared the combination to be a post sample, regardless of the lower’s status?

Double Dubs
Is it not legal to change barrel length or even caliber on a legal papered M-16? The serialized part is the lower. Swap for barrels and uppers should be fine? Same with proper papered M2 trigger group. Switch from rifle to rifle, to pistol, to SBR. Always wanted BRP XMG but never understood legal limitations. Interested in thoughts.
JoshNC
It’s too bad he didn’t incorporate a QC barrel design.
Grasshopper
Hi All, LIke JohnsonLMG41, IIRC Brian sold the "Upper" as a firearm and not an accessory. When mated to an M16, Brian's firearm became a MG. ATF's opinion was there was 1 MG, now there are 2 MG. I was unaware about the RDIAS and LL ability with Brian's MG34 Upper. Excellent option for the shooter. Just what I remember from reading on the interweb. YMMV, Grasshopper
Thumpy
While very cool… with the get ar15 beltfed uppers with FRT’s I think it’s kind of pointless now. Still dope though and happy to see it finally come out. Hope sales go great for them.
MPFiveO
Pointless? There are probably more transferable M11's in the registry than any other type of machine gun. There are a lot of M11 owners that would disagree with it being pointless. Lage can barely keep the 5.56 uppers in stock. The M11 market is second to only the M16 market when it comes to innovative accessories for transferable guns.

Sure but there’s already more FRT’s in circulation for m4/ar15 platforms then all MG’s in the registry combined….
MPFiveO
There's also a lot of pre 81 drop in auto sears out there too. They were sold openly in Shotgun News. They were legal until they weren't.

No where near the number of FRT’s nor was the one in government as unapologetically pro gun are they are now future is here regardless also had plenty of time to then register those pre 81 drop in auto sears before the registry closed… Edited October 2 by Thumpy
