I have tried the past 2 days to transfer a MG.  After entering all info I get to the last "train stop" and get an UNKNOWN ERROR from pay.gov and it kicks me back.

Usually indicates a email “Incorrectness” within the transferor or transferee. IT MUST BE EXCACT WHEN THE ACCOUNTS WERE SET UP!!! YMMV

UPDATE:  I "Asked the Experts" through e-Forms and got this:

Subject: RE: Ask the Expert Question - NFA Questions (eForms 1,2,3,4,5,9, and eForm 10) > Form 4 Question/Issue

Pay.gov transitioned to the cloud this week and is still resolving payment errors.

For SOT renewal you can go directly to pay.giv and submit payment.  It won’t work for a form 4 though

it appears to be an issue with the eform site as I was trying over and over to renew

Yes. My FFL is trying to submit payment for a tax stamp on a MG that I have there waiting and as of yesterday afternoon they were still having issues getting the payment to go through. :(

Can anyone confirm whether this has been resolved?

The issue must be "officially" resolved. The Seller was able to get past the pay.gov step early yesterday morning and the Form 4 is in "Submitted" status.

...let the wait begin; I'm curious and beyond excited to see how this one plays out,

Just got an e-mail from the ATF with the approved Form 4/stamp attached. By my count, three days from submission to approval.

Was yours done as an individual or as a trust?
