REMINGTON MODEL 12 22 S/L/LR PUMP RIFLE 1927 USED

 

This Remington Model 12, serial number 707107, was produced in 1927

 

24" octagonal barrel. Bore looks very-good and is shiny with sharp rifling. Outside of the barrel has a lot of surface rust. Markings include (REMINGTON / Trade Mark) (22 SHORT, LONG OR LONG RIFLE) and a (REMINGTON ARMS - UNION METALLIC CARTRIDGE CO, Remington Works, Illion NY, USA ) The upper barrel markings are hard to read due to corrosion. 

 

Receiver has most of its blueing with surface rust on the top half. Left side is marked (MODEL 12 / 707107

 

Wood is solid and very usable. Buttstock has a small crack on the underside where it meets the lower tang. Cresent buttpad has been reblued at some point and most of the Remington logo is no longer visible. LOP is 13.25" 

 

This rifle appears to be mechanically sound with everything working the way it should. I believe this rifle was reblued long ago.
