WTB M3 9mm mag. well adaptor

Recommended Posts

Good luck finding an original. In the meantime you can order a repro from Indianapolis Ordnance and be shooting while waiting on your unicorn. I've thought about buying the kit from IO to convert my M3 to 9mm but I've loaded so much .45 ACP for less than the current cost of 9mm that I'll just keep shooting it in .45 ACP.

Oh, and I understand wanting an original of you have the other original parts but no one is going to see it tucked up in the mag well.

I was advised that originals are gone.  I tried to find a repro made by Indianapolis ordinance and that was pure luck that I got one. Don’t think Ind ordinance  have produced them for quite some years and don’t think you can get one from them. Not enough bolts and barrels to justify making a run. . My limited knowledge is that originals  were sent over to the British and destroyed. If you happen to be in an antique store in Manchester in the next 20 years, buy 2 and I will reimburse you.

IO currently shows the 9mm bolt and magazine adapter to be in stock. The adapter allows the use of Sten magazines. They are out of the 9mm barrel assemblies but have stripped 9mm barrels and stripped collars, one would only need a gunsmith to headspace and pin it.

I have an original bolt and barrel.

I want an original mag well adaptor.

I knew where one was several years back, should have got it.

I own a Tool and die shop and can make one. I don't want it to fire it

If that was the case I would get a reproduction.
