Beltfedup
Want to open this drum up to do some spring cleaning inside, I'm wondering if anybody has had any issues with opening it or have any idea of how to open it. It seems like the two plates split on the back would just come out, but they're held in by the rim around the outside of the drum... Not too much info on the internet about this. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
Murdock
It has been some time since I took mine apart. But from memory, you take the winder screw all the way out, then remove the top 4 screws holding the drum assembly to the receiver, then slide it all down as one piece (sometimes they are very tight), and once removed, you can then rotate one plate at a time to expose the drum carrier. Beltfedup
Thanks murdock, I have it removed already but I can't figure out how to take those two back plates off to remove the aluminum cylinder from the drone... It looks like they might just slide away from each other but they don't budge.... The manual isn't too much help .... I'm sure it's something simple I'm missing. I'll messing around with it a little more.
Murdock
I have one that is very tight. I want to say I rotate the left cover top into the open position slot before removing it. I think I had to use a screwdriver to get it to move at first.
