***SOLD $109K + shipping  - Form 3 and ready for immediate transfer***

For sale is a factory original Saco Lowell Shops U.S. M60 machine gun that was from the first run of M60’s circa 1957. It comes with an additional new M60 double notched operating rod. The trunion reads “Gun Machine” rather than “Machine Gun”. The E-File form three has “Saco Defense Inc” as the manufacturer - this is interesting because two factory M60's that I sold last year transferred into my books from original owners with “US” as the manufacturer. This is due to  the original roll die markings that were being used when the M60 first started production in the mid 1950’s. The receiver is exactly what is desired in it having all factory Saco and USGI parts and Fully riveted without a single weld. It sports a 5 digit serial # that is inline with the military contract run of serial #’s and not the civilian one SM guns of the 1970’s or longer serial #’s of the 1980’s. The original condition on the receiver shows that this M60 was fired very little in its lifetime. The parkerizing is in 100% condition and all tolerances of the channel and rails are exactly where they need to be. The U.S.Ordnance Danish E4 Mod 1black kit is the previous generation kit for the M60. This kit was the greatly improved kit over the Mod 0 kit and was the baseline for the current generation M60E6 today. It is almost impossible to tell the difference between a black E4 Mod 1 and a black E6 kit. This kit is also known as the “MK43 Mod 1” kit and was used by the US Navy SEALS and other special forces units from 2001 to 2010. The In my opinion this kit is more than the seldomly available M60E6 because it is no longer in production, the retail price point at the time of production ($8K+), and it was not available for commercial sales. The E filed tax stamp states “US” as the manufacturer and previous had “Saco” in Maine as the manufacturer (The ATF has been switching all of our factory Saco/Maremont gun’s manufacturers names from the later to “US” after it clears to an E File tax stamp). This is a true museum quality piece and the only known Circa 1957 Curio & Relic M60 that has ever been listed for sale. This weapon has a huge story that is still not known to me because the first M60’s that were available to the commercial market was in 1976 by Richard Wray out of Ohio and they sported the SM-XX serial #’s. This is very likely a 1968 Amnesty registered M60 in which there are only a handful to be known in existence. I have submitted a “FOIA” request with the ATF and will report all findings that are provided to me about the origins of this weapon.

Before our acquisition of this machine gun it was purchased from an estate where it was owned for a very long time and was stored in a climate controlled safe. It was reportedly never fired.
