M38A1-Josh
Someone handed me a stack of photos from the Brownsville / Hiller / Waterbox shoots. They think it was the 80s. I clipped these to something rigid and took a photo with my phone of each one because I don't have a nice scanner. Enjoy! Album here: https://imgur.com/a/6lGzgz3 While googling I found a website with more photos from the later shoots here: http://anm2.freeservers.com/index.html Edited Wednesday at 03:36 PM by M38A1-Josh 2
Thumpy
Before I was born. Thanks for sharing! Love seeing stuff like this… unfortunately i definitely missed out on the golden era of the mg world… the variety of guns at those old shoots would be amazing to see… now adays I feel like they lack it. johnsonlmg41
Other than 3 guns, all of those and more are right down the road at shooters gauntlet. Nothing rare in the photos, but maybe I'm just used to seeing all of it every week? Got to get out to some shoots to see the stuff! I'd guess there will some cool stuff at the big bore shoot? Not sure there is a big enough line there though?

Maybe I need to travel to some other shoots. I go to 2 a year smaller private ones amoung my “group” of friends it’s mostly m16s and aks mp5s tp9 etc… but your probably right I need to do a bit more traveling to see what the photos show. Well isn't that something! All your "boomer" bashing and here we get to the root of it, you're envious of them! How shocking! /s
Frank I
I remember going to those shoots in the late 1980s-1990s The road in was terrible. Not sure there is a big enough line there though? We have 250ft of space on the main line, KCR was about 350ft. So its pretty decent sized. We should have a lot more MGs this year. Last year we didnt advertise as much to the MG collectors. But we still had some real nice MGs to see. Stoner 63, minigun, M60s, M2HB, and even a KPV 14.5mm gun. Nothing exceptionally rare, but its only growing. We also have other ranges available for use by attendees. Mark2 Posted yesterday at 01:35 AM Report Share Posted yesterday at 01:35 AM Thanks for sharing the photos! Back in the late 80’s when surplus ammo (.10 cent average) and dealer samples were pouring in dirt cheap, it was nothing to go through 5k rounds at Brownsville & 10k at Knob Creek Shoots.
