MattS
This FRT is the latest and best design available. It is an improvement on the FFT FRT and will not wear out the TX22 OEM plastic striker housing for the lifespan of the pistol. It's made from 304 stainless steel, deburred and polished. This design will eliminate wear on the striker housing beyond a tiny amount of round-over next to the striker block. Tested up to 12K rds of use with the OEM plastic striker housing. If you would like to purchase my FRTs, they are drop-in, no tune, hassle free installation. No modification or tuning of the part is necessary. It just works. TX22 FRTs $40 shipped + FREE Priority Mail Shipping with tracking and we pay the sales tax. Rate Reducers $80 + FREE Priority Mail Shipping with tracking and we pay the sales tax. SS Rate Reducers + SS FRT Combo $100 + FREE Priority Mail Shipping with tracking and we pay the sales tax. SAVE %50 on the v7 FRT with the combo. To order, please visit https://oddmfg.com/ Rate Reducer is 1.4 oz, solid 304 stainless steel and black oxide finished. Works with Gen 2 TORO and non TORO models with and without illuminated dot optics under 1.2 oz. * Non TORO Gen 2 models require suppressors under 7 oz or adding additional weight to the slide. Allows Taurus TX22s with FRTs to use suppressors. Lowers ROF from OEM 1950 RPM down to 1650 RPM depending on model and accessories. Suppressor weight needs to be from 0-7 oz. Not for use with suppressors that weigh more than 7 oz without 2 oz red dots. Suppressors accumulate lead and carbon and may need to be cleaned to be under 7 oz. Rate Reducer is not recommended for Competition models. Recommended ammo is high velocity 1250+ f.p.s. round nose, 40 gr ammo. All high velocity ammo will remain subsonic in 4.6" barrels but the extra powder is more reliable. USE LIGHT TRIGGER PRESSURE. Allow trigger to reset. Joeynumbers
Hey there how long does it take to receive this from ya'll and how good of a warranty is it that it comes with does it also cover the gun if it were to damage it from the frt
MattS
Hi Joey, I ship 6 days a week, Monday morning, payments before 3pm, and before 11AM Sat. Priority mail with tracking. 3-5 days. I'm confident it will not damage the pistol if the pistol already works from the factory and shooters uses light trigger pressure. The FRT and pistol combo are not machine guns. The shooter should use light trigger pressure allowing the trigger to reset. Death gripping the trigger will put upward force and friction on the FRT, stopping the slide and may wear the striker block faster. Always use lubricant. We have almost 13K rds on one pistol and it has not shown any more wear than a minimal rounding of the striker block that was created in the first 100 rds. Pictures in the first post. If there is a problem with the FRT, I will replace or refund it. Have a great day. Matt Edited Monday at 05:53 PM by MattS
MattS
The Taurus TX22s are in high demand. Buyers are picking up used guns for new prices. They are great guns. The FRT is a reason many seek out the pistol. If you buy one used, be sure to check the plastic striker block. Cheap FRT designs have destroyed many of these pistols and they end up on the used market. Most of the FRTs are not finished to our standards. A cheap TX22 FRT may be the most expensive after shipping it back to Taurus for repair. Our customers report 5K rounds range with no wear. We get emails daily that cheap FRTs have destroyed someones pistol and they want to buy ours. New striker blocks are needed before they use another FRT. Look under the slide if you buy a used gun. Make sure there is not a trench in front of the striker block. Another clue. Metal Striker housings are destructive to the FRTs. They should not be used. If a FRT vendor is selling metal striker housings, they are selling a destructive FRT.. Metal striker housings We DO NOT recommend our v7 FRT for use with metal striker housings. Metal striker housings create cascading failures. Damage to the FRT and loss of reliability will result. Check out the "Warnings" section on our site. https://www.oddmfgllc.com/ Coming Soon! MattS
New videos of suppressed TX22 with Odd Mfg Rate Reducers and FRTs Our drop-in Odd Mfg v7 FRT is only $20 from us, if you get the RR and v7 combo with FREE Priority Mail shipping with tracking. We also pay the sales tax. We ship 6 days a week and if you order before 3pm EST M-F or before 11am on Sat, we get your shipment scanned by a human and on the truck leaving town. Compared to our copiers with ground shipping and tax added, I think you will find our price competitive with faster shipping. As always, USE LIGHT TRIGGER PRESSURE and high velocity, 1200+ fps ammo. HV ammo stays subsonic in a 4.6" or shorter barrels but the extra power increases reliability with FRTs. Do NOT USE with metal striker housings. It damages our SS v7 FRT. MattS
We had conflicting reports on the 3.85oz OCL Ti suppressor working without a Rate Reducer and FRT on the TX22s. We tested 4 TX22 models and found that it worked some with the compact model w/o a RR. All the models worked best with a suppressor, Rate Reducer and FRT. Competition model was not tested. Rate Reducers in stock! Save $20, no sales tax and Free USPS Priority Mail shipping on the FRT/RR combo. www.oddmfg.com Edited Monday at 06:09 PM by MattS
