gamebit21
To whom it may concern concert: Just curious what the current market value range the M16A1 Group Industries Stainless Steel Lower Current Market Value. - Yes I do underarm Trunp Slump 2.0 - Yes, I do understand the current “2A” posit r movements - Yes, I do understand the current FRT explosion . Yes, I do underarm the reclassification of transferable reclassifications to the totals available — I do know there are only 107 of them. I have 2, and I know where 6 others are at. There are 100 out there. - I do know that this item has virtually no pin while wear even with numerous upper changes or 9mm or other pistol caliber uppers, and belt fed uppers. - I do know for example virtually no wear using titanium pushpin quick disconnect like pins - Ultimately I do know like real estate land they are making no more transferable Ultimately it comes down to whether you want collectibles, investments, and shooters. I am really polling for a good market spot price and near term values. Thanks for any information.
MPFiveO
Those are really hard to nail down because of how obscure they are. They have almost a cult following because of their history and durability. Honestly, I'd put them somewhere between any other aftermarket conversion and a factory Colt registered receiver. The only way to get exactly what it's worth is to put it up for auction and let the bidders decide. Of course I'm sure someone from the FRT/SS crowd will be along shortly to tell you it's worth next to nothing now.
gamebit21
Yes. I hear you exactly.. Part of the cult following and history was of course because of the durability first. Seconds was the licensed option to use the M16A1 designations. Also as you said the amazing development history. YES. No doubt the FRT Crowed will say nill value…. Well there is the Federal “Settlement”. However, there is no as of yet strong case law and precedence..Also the “returned” to the states philosophy has made quite a few states strike them down. Surprisingly, Idaho front one of them. Thanks for the honest and frank answer though!!
gamebit21
As to the FRT…. Yes it is a great legal and wonderful “gray area” “work around.” My only thoughts are from 10 feet back, it looos like you are shooting a full auto. Only up close, so you see the persons trigger finger ever ao so slightly move. It does really look and feel like you are tickling the devil when you when you shoot one. I can not help and feel sooner or later a steel head trap of legit somehow will grab will grab ky trigger finger though….
Got Uzi
With Colt M16 variants selling (not asking) between $30k-$40k I’d say one of the stainless Group M16’s would be a $45k-$50k piece these days as they don’t turn up and are literally bomb proof. I know of someone who has a pair of them and I’ll admit I’m envious. Personally I say the Group stainless M16 is the best M16 lower you could get your hands on. PTRS-14.5
Years back I paid stupid money for SR# 1 with the correct SS A1 upper and a early NAM era brl. It now sports a BF upper and runs like a best when I'm not abusing my 63A LOL. Most all the cast SS uppers Mike (Group Industries) had casting flaws (voids) in them. I did this because of the Sr# and hes an old friend. Sorry its not for sale. Rex Tyson
I would guess at least 45k value. If I had one and someone offered 63 I think it would be gone.

Or, I could buy a warehouse full of FRT's...
tal35
There were others besides Group lowers. Walter Neuman I believe did several stainless Upper/lower groups, how many were converted? Never did ask him. They were Labeled as Nuarmco.
PTRS-14.5
Walter did these guns with Mike Brown back in the day. He was in NY so MG MFG was a no go there. Mike (Group Indst) did the MG's. I believe most the NUARMCO guns where Semi.. Many of the MG lowers had issues that I believe Bob Landies and Bruce Swawell corrected. I did tell the guy that made the offer, I'd trade for an original, excellent condition commando marked Colt. Crickets so far.
