For sale is a Fleming HK MP5SD SBR Host/Fleming Transferable Sear combo, in excellent plus condition, that started out as a 1985 German pre-ban HK94 (Date Code “IF” – S/N 846X) and was subsequently converted by Fleming Firearms to an MP5SD with a 6" ported barrel, Fleming Suppressor, and Transferable Fleming Sear (originally installed in a clipped & pinned SEF trigger pack).  “MP5SD” nomenclature was added to the top of the receiver and Fleming Firearm’s name and address along with the Sear’s serial number were added on the right side of the magazine well. The host was also equipped with a paddle mag release, an A3 (Date Code “IG”/Metal Backplate & Lever) telescoping stock, and post front & rear drum sighs. The bolt is marked “IF 425”.

The Suppressor is 12” long and 1.63” in diameter and is removable to gain access to the barrel for cleaning. The Suppressor’s stainless steel construction and larger diameter are similar to the early (pre-KAC) HK “Large Suppressor” that was developed by Qual-A-Tec and then licensed to HK and manufactured in Chantilly to meet the US Navy’s need for a suppressor that was resistant to saltwater corrosion. It utilizes the same M18-1 thread pitch as factory MP5SD suppressors. An HK Barrel Port Brush (used only once to verify the suppressor’s thread pitch) will be included in the sale. The inside diameter of the Barrel Shroud (Cage) is approximately 1.78”.

In January 2024, the Fleming Sear (S/N H041X), was removed from its original SEF trigger group assembly and professionally installed in a new HK German factory MP5 4 Position burst trigger pack (0,1,3,F Pictogram) with a clipped & pinned MP5 Grip Housing by Mike Otte of Michael’s Machines in Edwardsville, Illinois. As part of the installation, the sear’s serial number was stamped on the side of trigger housing for easy reference. The sear, in its current 4 Position configuration, has been tested with various HK SBR hosts (MP5, HK53, and HK91), and runs flawlessly. It is currently set up with a 9mm ejector for use with 9mm hosts.

With the exception of the original SEF trigger group, this MP5SD retains all the original parts as built by Fleming Firearms. It was only test fired when I originally purchased it in 2006 and has been a safe queen for over 19 years.

New HK German factory 4 Position trigger groups, like the one this sear is installed in, currently cost over $3,200 as they have become increasingly scarce since their classification as restricted parts.

This is a three stamp package (Sear, Suppressor, and SBR) and all three items are on Form 4’s in Texas.  Seller will pay 1st three tax stamps to transfer the items from Seller’s local FFL/SOT dealer to Buyer’s FFL/SOT dealer.  Buyer will pay $61.5K (100% upfront) plus $200 shipping via insured USPS registered mail.

For information purposes, the last 2 paper Form 4s (from an individual to a FFL/SOT dealer) I submitted were approved within 45 days of submission.
