tal35
Anyone know why the witness holes would be plugged on mags? I have a few that the witness holes were plugged.
MPFiveO
My guess would be to minimize the possibility of dirt being introduced through the holes. You'd think that if it were a problem the military would have specified no witness holes.
Got Uzi
That was something done for use during the Operation Torch campaign for keeping sand and dirt out of the mags. I always found it odd that TSMG mags were plugged like that due to “sand getting inside the magazines” but yet STEN and MP40 mags have witness holes and had no issues…maybe because they were on the spine of the magazine or the holes were smaller?
