High Standard C&R .50 cal M2HB

A nice C&R with a little history on it. This M2 was made by High Standard in 1941. It started out as a water-cooled gun. In 1943 the watercooled .50s were discontinued and turned into aircraft or heavy barrel guns. In the Vietnam era March of 1967 it was acquired and marked by S.W.ORD (South West Ordnance) (special warfare operations and rapid deploymentI) maybe,  I’m unsure of this marking. I don’t know how it came into the civilian market, but I bought it in 2021.

The history of the High Standard guns with serial numbers are in the book, “Browning Machine Guns volume 5,” by Ianimaco/Goldsmith page 166.

I fire this gun regularly in HB but I have the water cooled parts as well. This is the gun from all my YouTube videos it runs great. It comes with a tripod, pintle, T&E and 300 rounds of tracer.
