Aaron in Mohnton Pa Posted July 22, 2025 Author Report Share Posted July 22, 2025 No. Because at that point I would be manufacturing a rifle for somebody and I do not have an approval letter for any such design…..Also, according to the original JRW paperwork I have, I believe John weavers design was ultimately rejected by the ATF … So he sold them in parts kits so people could built them themselves. MGTedFL Posted July 24, 2025 Report Share Posted July 24, 2025 Hello Aaron, I once had a DO E4Mod1; kinda' redundant with the E1,3,4 franken-gun and E6. Sold it a few years ago., but kept the billet-railed top cover, subbing out to the Mod0, with parts from you. While I didn't spend a lot of time analyzing the mechanism, I do recall that it had a very delicate looking piece of L-shaped metal exiting from the trigger pack on the left side that appeared to trip the semi-sear, or something similar. It looked like it would just snap off if you looked at it wrong. Very different than other SA conversions I have seen including the RIA external bar. You sent me a photo of it … I know the desert ordnance design removed the bottom trunion lug and moves it back further … I am not sure what else the design entails. You are correct, IIRC that the lower trunnion lug was removed and IIRC, the grip installed "shelf-like" ....... like a semi HK. I wish I had taken more pictures. Sold it way too cheap.....I wish I had kept it. Never seen another. BTW, I did not forget about your request to procure another 1:6 scale M60 E1 model. We were hit by those two hurricanes last year (no guns got wet, but we did get water in part of the house, here in St. Pete). I have no had any luck finding the parts to build another, yet.......
