Pre Dealer Sample turning Tranny

Missed the address on where to mail the question to the ATF on if one's Pre DS became transferable. Need help with that.

email a signed letter (as an attachment) to:

NFAFAX@atf.gov

the machine gun in question MUST be in your inventory (or registered to you if you are not a dealer)

The ATF will reply by snail mail.  Expect 30-90 days

I have three pre may dealer samples I submitted a letter to the ATF on 6/20/2025 To see if they were eligible to be moved from dealer samples to fully transferable I received a letter on August 8th informing me that two of my guns were eligible to be moved. Thank You NFAFAX@atf.gov

I may try this, not very hopeful.  Four of my pre samples changed to trans, then two changed back. I guess it can't hurt to ask about them anyway.

If you got a conformation letter from the ATF, it's not going to change back.
If you're talking about the "color change" on eforms... Yeah, that was never a reliable tool.

Yeah, I've not previously inquired, just looked on my inventory. I don't think there's much chance but it will only cost me a few minutes of my time.
