nfakrazy Posted June 27 Report Share Posted June 27 (edited) Hey All, I have a transferable SGW/Palmetto Armory M16 for sale. I have owned this gun since 2018 and it performs flawlessly. A bit of backstory on "Palmetto Armory." The story of Palmetto Armory (not to be confused with PSA) is an interesting one. As I understand it, there was a sporting goods outfit based out of San Antonio TX called "Big Sarge" or "Old Sarge" that had SGW manufacture what seems to be the first milled billet aluminum receivers. This concept was so new, that the "CNC" machines used to mill these receivers were operated on paper punch cards. My receiver was purchased by Lonnie Lambert of Phoenix Arms based in Houston Texas. Lonnie is a well known smith for converting and manufacturing side plates for belt feds. He was a very talented smith and did the conversion on this Palmetto Armory lower in 1985. The lower was sent to M60 Joe by the previous owner for a complete rebuild. M60 Joe did the following work: Blueprinted the lower, corrected anything out of spec Reinforced and sleeved all pin holes Removed milling marks Marked lower SAFE/SEMI/AUTO Engraved Phoenix Arms in lower Refinished with Type 3 Hard Coat Anodizing The Lower is flawless with any and all uppers I have tried. It will run them all. Magazines drop free, and there are no issues pushing the pins. It holds all uppers with no slop, and works perfectly. The current setup you will receive is: Palmetto Armory/SGW M16 Lower NIB Mil-Spec full auto parts kit (installed) PSA 16" Mid-Length Upper Colt Carry Handle Ergo Never Quit Magwell Grip (to protect SN and markings) KNS Pins Magpul MOE furniture in black to finish it off I am selling my machine gun collection to fund another project. I am not in a hurry to sell, and quite honestly I don't want to. But things happen and hobbies change. If you have any interest please let me know. I am asking $25,000 + $100 shipping for this setup. The gun is currently on a Form-4 in Texas and is in a Silencer Shop "Single Shot Trust." I would like 100% funds up front to start the transfer. The buyer will be responsible for Transfer Taxes.
