FAC
TWO C&R 1958 FULLY-TRANSFERABLE Belgium FN-FALs For Sale Manufactured in June 1958, shortly after the 7.62X51mm cartridge was standardized by NATO, both of these Belgian-manufactured FN-FALs (Fusial Automatique Leger) were manufactured for the Federal Republic of Germany and designated the G-1 (Gewher 1). The G-1 was employed by the Bundesgrenzschutz, the West German Border Guard, from 1956 to 1959. Both of these FN-FALs are those Border Guard weapons. Google “pictures of West German Border Guards” and you will see the G-1 in use. G-1’s equipped with their original Hensoldt Wetzlar scopes are exceedingly rare. These two FN-FALs are FULLY TRANSFERABLE. Both were imported into the United States between October 22,1968, when the Gun Control Act went into effect and May 19,1986 when the Firearms Owners Protection Act went into effect. Both are C&R firearms because they were manufactured 67 years ago. They were imported and first registered by BATF to a law enforcement agency in Michigan, under 26 U.S.C 5844. I acquired both of these early G1 FN-FALs from that police department in 1987 as Pre-1986 Dealer Samples. However, since both of these particular FN-FALs were not imported for a dealer to use as Sales Samples, but were imported as Law Enforcement weapons, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives has recently reclassified such imported Law Enforcement weapons, lifting the Dealer Sample restriction. As a result, both of these machine guns have met the 26 U.S.C. 5844(1) government use import exception, and therefore both have been designated has FULLY TRANSFERABLE by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives. The letter from NFA Branch of ATF confirming the fully-transferable status of these two FN-FAL G-1s is attached for your review. These exceptional examples of very early FN-FALs, are one of the highest quality and most appealing of all the FN-FAL variations. Their bipod folds into the forward grip, and both includes an originally issued Hensoldt Wetzlar scope from the 1958 era, calibrated specifically for the 7.62X51mm NATO cartridge. The scopes have the post reticle and excellent optics. Note that one of the scopes has a blemish on the upper left edge of the eyepiece, as shown in the attached photo. This blemish does not diminish the optics. FN-FAL’s were used by 90 countries and manufactured in 15 nations. The early variations, manufactured at FN’s headquarters in Belgium, were of the highest quality and are the most desired variation for collectors. Both FALs, serial number 77509 and 89916, have matching serial numbers on their upper receiver and the lower receiver, and on their bolt. The serial number on the scope mount and the serial on the flash hider of SN 89916 do not match. FN FAL serial number 77509 has a recoil reducer thread-attached to the barrel, that was custom made by BJ’s Gun Shop. This high-tolerance recoil reducer will allow a shooter, holding on to one leg of the bipod, to hold all 20 rounds of the magazine on target in one burst: a rarity in 7.62X51 full auto assault rifles. I have fired no more than 200 rounds through each of these FN FALs. They are C&R machineguns, Fully-transferable and in excellent condition. $110,000 for the pair.
