I "sourced" this rig in Iraq when I was working there. The South African guys who were working the contract in the first couple years all went home after it became a "blue passport only" gig, and left a lot of their gear behind, or traded it for other stuff. This is a great setup if you carry all your mags in a chest rig that's not part of your armor and allows you to wear just your mags and such, or to "armor up" then wear your chest rig over top. The soft armor insert is Level IIIA. The plates will defeat AP ammo.
