Jtm35a2
Here we have a gun that was resurrected from the dead. The gun was a partial demil (cut up the left side and about halfway across the top just ahead of the rear sight). Previous owner (deceased before my purchase) rewelded it, didn’t do the best job and amnesty registered it in nov 68. The right side looks good, but the left side has a dip in it. The owner built it up with a M1 lower, bent barrel, and no sights. Once the paperwork was straightened out i bought a nice savage 1928 parts kit and sent it all to Dan Block. He straightened out the welds and gave it a structural bill of health. He built it up using the entire new unissued parts kit. He also built two complete sets of furniture (only 1 grip). An original drop stock, a high comb stock that’s 1” shorter lop, a horizontal and vertical forends. Once that was done the original markings were laser engraved to restore the visibility, original markings were all but lost in the pit removal. I had it cerakoted in H- armor black. Reassembled it and took it out for a test fire yesterday May 4th (i can text a video of that), she ran beautifully. The good: Real WW2 era 1928A1 Everything but the receiver is new Multiple furniture configurations Priced about like a pre sample Dan Block went over it and built it up Barrel is set up for quick(er) changes Runs great Eform 3 ready The Bad: It’s a reweld that wasn’t the best job Gun was pitted, still is in some areas What’s included: 1928A1 New spare stock (with its own slide, butt.plate, swivel) and vertical grip 28 pistol grip that came with the parts kit Complete savage M1 lower Spare bolt, blish lock, actuator (rough) Bent barrel cut back to remove the slight bend 2 extra forends 1 x 30 round mag 1 x 20 round mag Copy of original amnesty registration SOLD ON GUNBROKER For data point, it sold in 5 minutes for $19,600 $17,250 shipped usps registered, fully insured. I will not contact you about payment (scammers do that, stay alert) I would entertain trades involving a brp stemple gun, RR Uzi (imi conversion guns), American 180, or maybe a really loaded out M11 package (think lots of lage uppers) Edited May 5, 2025 by Jtm35a2
