User Id : Oceanside - Scammer BEWARE!

Recommended Posts

EDIT: I was contacted by the REAL oceanside today. Yes I was scammed when his account was hacked, but the real Jeff sounds like a very stand up guy. I would do buisness with Jeff, he was very apologetic even though it wasn't his fault. I have reported the paypals the scammer used while logged into oceansides account. Please do not drag this man through the mud. Shit happens sometimes, and nobody is immune from it. Just make sure to speak with users youre working with over the phone and to do your due dillegence. I did not do enough due diligence, and the scammer saying the would not accept goods and services should have been a bigger red flag to me before sending the funds. Jeff is in contact with buddy trying to resolve the issue, and I am more than willing to vouch for Jeff to anyone willing to work with them.

Thank you for reading,

I have had no contact for two weeks, I hope to receive the item I purchased, when I do, I will post a complete retraction, apologie and the details. I have rarely been scammed but I have been looking for this item for a while.

I am assuming you were scammed with no contact for two weeks. The REAL Oceanside is more than a stand up guy and good friend of mine. Jeff is good to go. Buyers and Sellers must take better care in checking out who is in contact with them.

@OceansideDid you send you username and password to that scam phishing email?

I'd expect to see some more of these scams soon. Watch your account messages yall and always ask for "proof of life" pictures before sending money. A picture of the item with their ID or a handwritten paper with the date and their username

This can easily be faked with photoshop.

Best proof of life is live video like FaceTime.

The REAL "Oceanside: (Jeff) is a great guy, I've done business on and off with him and had plenty of emails/conversations with him for at least 15 years.

Good point. I'm pretty good at spotting the fakes but tech is only getting better and not everyone has an eye for it.

For anything more than a few hundred bucks I'd definitely want some video or something.

I also want to add in that Oceanside (Jeff) is a great guy.  I recently bought a Madsen M50 and it was a great transaction and we talk regularly now about the NFA market.  He is super responsive and a first class guy.  I hate this happened to his account, but know that the real Jeff is a stand up long standing person in the NFA market.  I would not hesitate to buy from him again in the future.
