abody71
I just received a Thompson M1A1. It's my first one, and everything runs great. The issue is that when I go to insert a magazine, I have to push ever so slightly down on the mag release to insert the magazine past the catch. Is this a design feature, too strong a spring, or does the magazine catch need to be altered? Thanks.
johnd.bush
cam surface on the magazine catch may have a burr, if it acts this way with all mags. Pop it out and look at that contact surface. use the magazine and use it to see how the contact surface acts on the mag. That should tell you if it is smooth enough top act without dragging. Frank I
Not sure if this is the source of your problem, but it is some thing to be aware of when using Crosby 30-round magazines (C-Company) in M1 - M1A1 Thompsons Details in American Thunder III page
